Teahumble is a kindly and very helpful if a little bumbling halfling. He adorns himself in a bright red cape and a large brimmed red hat that is topped by seven candles that burn night and day. The image of a halfling standing around with a large brimmed hat dripping with candle wax from a half dozen lit candles just makes people smile. He is exceptional well traveled as a merchant who showed up at very out of the way places offering a friendly face and a few helpful hints. And always a steaming bowl of stew to sate any hunger.
Teahumble has had many careers. For many years Teahumble plied the back roads of the world meeting many peoples at the most opportune times. Giving them an excuse to take a break and recharge. For many a season he would be a staple in a place then he would just as quickly return to his wandering.
Each people he meets makes him inclined to talk with them about things and ask how he could help. They usually start by telling him of the dilemma they have painted themselves into then he’d jump into his little gypsy wagon and cry out. “Wait I think I have just what you need!”
Teahumble has become a good friend over the years to the people who he meets, always helping to get them out of some spot of trouble or minor discomfort. Usually a problem that they led themselves into.
Though he has made a go at it as a shop owner on the coast and even tried to open a bakery specializing in focaccia bread inland. Teahumble’s heart belongs to the open road, and his donkey Jack was getting a little on the stout side sitting in the stable all day eating oats. So he sold the Bakery, tricked his donkey out of its comfortable stall with promises of green apples and headed for the horizon.
After all his travels and adventures the battles and tragedies he’s seen, the little man has only ever claimed to be a humble child of the mother of all compassion and love. His true nature and his story have always been artfully dodged regardless of how poignantly one may query him. He escapes questions by answering ones you have forgotten to ask. But in the end it doesn’t matter for his friends truly care not from whence he came. But how to get to the next safe town and out of this troll infested swamp. Many hope to see their friend again soon but he only ever shows himself when he’s needed not just because his company is missed. Though many keep an ear out for his insensate complaining of Jack, “The Lazy good for nothing excuse for a bridal hanger.” Teahumble has had many adventures and encounters, talked long and well with the many colorful characters of the lands he has traversed. For as long as he could walk and until he can no longer, travel and trade are his place.
